The DVUS Library is on the 2nd floor of the Darby Vassall Upper School building (not far from the Main Office). There, Ms. Riley works with students individually, in small groups or with classes to:
foster a love of reading and life-long learning,
assist students and staff with locating and accessing appropriate resources to support student success,
provide students with tools and experiences to help them become critical thinkers and ethical users of information,
stimulate creative thinking, intellectual curiosity & high aspirations, and
provide students with a safe, comfortable resource -rich environment with up-to-date technologies for scholarly research, quiet study & recreational reading.
Ms. Riley also works cooperatively with the DVUS community to support and enhance curricula, while incorporating AASL (American Association for School Librarians) Standards which encourage students to:
