Early Childhood

Claiborne Parish is proud to offer several great options to help our youngest learners get a head start on their education. Every public elementary school in the parish—Homer, Haynesville, and Summerfield—offers Pre-K classes for children who turn four by September 30th. For families with even younger children, we have a special program for three-year-olds at Haynesville Elementary, and we are also proud to partner with First Baptist Daycare to provide even more options for early learning. Additionally, Head Start centers in both Homer and Haynesville serve children from 18 months up to four years old. Together, these programs focus on creating a supportive environment that helps your child build the skills they need to be happy and ready for school.
