A Chromebook should be available in the room you are in. These are usually in a cart, but could possibly be loose or in a locker as well. Once you have a device you should be able to login with a substitute login for the building. The password and account information is available in the office. These passwords are frequently changed throughout the year so do not expect that you know the password from the last time you were a substitute in a particular building.
In our classrooms we project using AirPlay. Typically this is achieved with an AppleTV attached to a projector or television in the classroom. When you open the AirParrot 2 application on your Chromebook you should have a list of available rooms. If your room is in the list select it and type the code that appears on the screen for authentication. Good Job!
If your room is not in the list for AirParrot 2 there is an alternate way to connect. Find the IP Address of the AppleTV in your room and type it in the Quick Connect Code box of AirParrot 2.
To locate the screen above simply click menu on your AppleTV's remote and find the Settings icon. Select it and then press on About.
There are occasions when the teacher would like to share lesson plans or other information with you. After logging onto the Chromebook you will also have access to Google Drive. Once you have opened Google Drive there should be shared folders for each teacher in the building. Simply find the teacher you are subbing for from the list and open the folder with their name. All resources the teacher has shared will be in that folder.
