Whitney M. Young Magnet High School is located at 211 S. Laflin, Chicago, IL 60607. Founded in 1975 it stands as an anchor of the new West Loop neighborhood. Whitney Young high school is where both academic and athletic excellence is the standard.
The Michelle Obama Athletic Complex is a state of the art athletic facility which includes a turf field designed for Baseball, Softball, Football, Soccer and Lacrosse. The complex also includes a running track, jumping pits, dugouts, scoreboards and LED lighting for night time play.
The complex is located on the north side of Adams St. on the Whitney Young Campus.
The Katrina Adams Tennis Courts are named after Whitney Young's first State Champion tennis player and former President and CEO of the USTA. These 4 courts have been newly refinished and are located at Adams and Laflin.
The Dr. Joyce Kenner Physical Education Building is Whitney Young's primary indoor athletic facility. It contains our pool, 2 basketball courts, 3 volleyball courts and a newly renovated weight room. This building is located on the east side of the Whitney Young Campus behind the academic building.
