Choosing an elective in the Fine Arts is one of the best ways to ensure you have a balanced, enjoyable (and survivable!) high school experience. When you make Performing Arts part of your academic schedule, you gain a dedicated space in your day to step away from the lectures and textbooks to focus on something hands-on, meaningful, and expressive. These programs are built on community; you’ll walk into your first day already belonging to a group of people who share your interests. Beyond the benefit of having little to no outside homework, you’ll find that the stage and the studio are where some of the most lasting friendships are formed. It’s a chance to learn a new skill, de-stress, and be part of a team that creates something meaningful together.
Skip study hall.
No one has ever looked back on their memories from high school and said, "You know, I had the BEST experience in study hall..."
