Use this guide to help a student whose password has expired, or if they have been locked out of their account. Teachers may only manage accounts of students that they teach. You may send any other students to Ms. Jara in the library, or one of the TechCos, for assistance.
Students can visit cps.edu/portal to change their password before it expires.

CPS teachers, students, and staff have access to numerous online resources, including research databases, online encyclopedias, curriculum resources, media sites, educational videos, and simultaneous and single use eBooks and eAudiobooks.
Databases are provided by Chicago Public Schools for all students, teachers and administrators in the district. These databases can be used both at school and at home and are accessed with a special password login. Access the eBook and database password document using your CPS credentials. SYNC is a free summer audiobook program for teens 13+. Returning Spring 2021, SYNC gives participants two thematically paired audiobooks a week.
Simultaneous use e-Books are a great way to have your entire class read the same book at the same time. Recently, over 9k simultaneous use e-Books have been added to the CPS virtual library via two providers: Mackin and Publishers Say Yes. Chicago Public Library (chipublib.org) has tons of free resources that children and teens can access online. Using an eCard is a great way to check out eBooks, get free homework help with Brainfuse and explore other online resources. See the flyer to the right!

Mac Lab - ____ Mac computers equipped with the Adobe Suite. The room comes equipped with a projector, and color printer. You can book the Mac Lab, or one of the other computer labs in the building here.
24 Mac computers with B&W printing capabilities. There is a hanging TV with Laptop hook up and sound capabilities visible from all computers. Note: These computers do not have the Adobe Suite.
5 tables in the back area of the library. Each table seats 4-6 students. The space fits up to 25 students.
Study and work space used by the post-secondary team. Please reach out to a member of the Post-Secondary Team to reserve this space.
Use this appointment calendar to schedule a date & time to bring down your class(es) for textbook and novel checkout. Check-outs typically occur in the library, but may also occur in the basement near the book room. Ms. Jara will inform you of the location when confirming the appointment(s).
