Use this chart to figure out your college selectivity tier.
Here is a link to better understand your college selectivity.
All students must apply to at least: 1 City College of Chicago, 1 Illinois state college/university and one school of their choice.
Step 1: Make sure you are applying to relevant colleges. Do you match the admissions requirements? Will the college be a good fit for you?
Step 2: Make sure you add the schools that you apply to in Naviance. This is how transcripts will be submitted to the colleges you are applying for. Click here for instructions.
Step 3: Complete this form to notify me that you need a transcript sent. Transcripts will be sent on Thursdays along with a general fee waiver that I will upload for you. Let's refer to this as "Transcript Thursdays". You must attach proof that you applied to the college while completing the form.
Watch this video to undertand how to submit a request to have your transcripts sent to colleges!
If you need a student recommendation from me, please complete this form. You will receive your recommendation within 10 school days.
If you need a recommendation from a teacher or other staff member, you must request it from them directly.
LOGGING INTO NAVIANCE: Here are the instructions that you should follow. There is no specific login because it is linked to your CPS account already:
1. Log into your CPS email account FIRST
2. Open a new browser and click on this link: https://www.cps.edu/services-and-supports/college-and-career-planning/naviance-planning-tool/
3. Scroll down until you see "Student Login" and click on "Student Login"
4. Select your account if asked.
All students have a general fee waiver that will be submitted by Simeon when a transcript is sent for colleges. Students are limited to FIVE fee waivers. If the college you are applying to does not accept the general fee waiver, you may request one here. Only request once you have received notification that the college does not accept the general fee waiver that was already sent on your behalf.
Fee Waivers for SAT are now avaiable!
If you are interested in retaking the SAT and need a fee waiver please email me to request one. I will reply to you with a fee waiver code to use. From there you must log into your College Board account to register for a test date and test site using the fee waiver code. Information to get access to your College Board account is listed below.

College Board Access
I do not have passwords and user names for College Board. They do not allow staff to access student accounts. If you need access, you must go to CollegeBoard.org. Try the "forgot username" and "forgot password" option. If that does not work you will need to call the help desk. Here are the phone numbers you can use:
