Hello Third Grade Families,
My name is Mr. Brian Graves and I'm the third grade Language Arts and Social Studies teacher...this will be my 19th year at Murray and 26th year of teaching. Prior to Murray, I taught in the metro Detroit area. I am very excited about teaching this year and working with Ms. Andrade!
Here are a few fun things for you and your child to know about me:
1) I love language arts and social studies. Students need to be independent readers and thinkers. They also need to learn about the past and present, so they can be successful in the future.
2) I love working out and going to the gym! I usually go in the morning before school, or right after school! Exercise is fun!!!!!
3) I love Michigan! I grew up in a small town and my family lives all over the Great Lake State!
4) I am only your child's teacher for nine months, but hopefully will make an impact to last a lifetime. I truly believe in a positive parent-student-teacher relationship and strongly believe in a balanced school-work-home life! Let's have a fun third grade adventure!
If you'd like to contact me please email to bigraves@cps.edu
Thanks,
Mr. Graves
