Dear Skinner West Community,

I am thrilled to be joining you for the 2018-2019 school year. This is my fifth year teaching in Chicago. I trained in CPS, and taught four years of junior high Language and Literature in the Archdiocese. Now, I am excited to spend my fifth year at Skinner West! Additionally, I have taught a number of outside courses, including a composition course at Loyola University Chicago for high school freshmen that anticipate being first-generation college students. I am also a freelance writer for ThinkCERCA, a computer program dedicated to developing students’ argumentative writing skills that was created by a former CPS teacher!

I am an alumna of Loyola University Chicago (yes, I know Sister Jean!), and I even studied at the Loyola Rome Center in Italy! My time at Loyola and in Rome shaped my passions for social justice and global education.

When I’m not at school, I’m usually spending time by the lake, reading, playing piano, or exploring new restaurants and music venues around the city. I love to go to the ballet, and I even, occasionally, drop in to a class at the Joffrey!

I look forward to working with your students, and helping them achieve their goals!
