To best support all students in their learning and push students to excellence, the following expectations are in place for remote learning this fall:
To best support all students in their learning and push students to excellence, the following expectations are in place for remote learning this fall:
Students will meet as a class in mandatory live lessons every day for whole group instruction and at least twice a week for Reading small group instruction.
Students will have assigned work every day, building off of what is discussed in live lessons. All assignments are due the following school day by 8:30 am (just like homework expectations if we were meeting for school at Lewis).
Students should be on time to all live lessons and small groups; attendance will be taken daily. If students cannot attend a lesson for some reason, students need to either email Ms. Bast or have a parent contact me prior to that school day.
Students should check all google classroom pages and CPS emails at least twice a day to check for new announcements and posts.
Parents can sign up for guardian summaries to receive notifications about student assignments and progress. Send Ms. Bast a parent or guardian email address to be added as a guardian in classroom.

Ms. Bast has daily office hours from 8:45-9:30. Fill out this form to request a parent conference outside of these office hours.
