Be On Time & Prepared
Have essential materials ready and check technology to make sure that it is working before class
Log on to Google Meet on time and stay the entire time (attendance will be taken!)

Have your camera on, sit upright, dress as if you are in school (please wear your Mary Lyon uniform)
Contribute and respond appropriately (Google Chat, polls, reactions)
Be Respectful
Keep your Google Chat conversations on topic, kind, and thoughtful
Keep microphone on “mute” unless prompted to unmute and share
Be Responsible & Accountable
Complete all work assignments and submit on time
Problem solve with peers when you have a question

Engage All Students in Grade-Level, Standards-Aligned, Remote Learning Instruction
Meet instructional minute requirements for all content areas
Integrate whole-group, small-group, and individual supports to meet all students’ needs
Provide weekly SEL supports
Monitor Student Progress to Inform Instruction
Monitor and submit student attendance daily
Partner with administration and families to ensure that all students are engaged every day
Provide students with regular feedback
Return to regular grading system with standard letter grades issued based on mastery of content
Communicate with Students and Families Directly, Respectfully, Consistently
Use Google Classroom to communicate assignments, share student schedules and record Google Meet sessions
Use Google Meets to facilitate live instruction and build community
Hold daily virtual parent office hours
Respond to email communications within 24-48 hours
Empower Students to Own Their Learning
Allow your child to answer questions on their own and complete their own assignments
Give students time to figure things out on their own and make mistakes (struggling leads to learning!)
Establish a Remote Learning Routine
Establish designated quiet “work” space, suitable for learning, within the home that is free of distraction
Ensure that your child dresses appropriately, is well rested, and ready to learn, every day that school is in session
Encourage your child to discuss their day and review their studies
Stay Up to Date on Students’ Progress:
Subscribe to Google Classroom updates and Aspen Parent Portal, check both systems regularly
Follow up with your child about missing work
Follow up with your child’s teacher during Office Hours
Communicate with Teachers Directly, Respectfully, Consistently
Consider your child’s teacher your first point of contact. Reach out to them first and allow time for a response.
