The Lincoln Park High School Dance Team made Chicago Public Schools history by qualifying for Nationals at Universal Dance Association Dance Camp on July 20th, 2022. The LPHS Dance Team continued to make history as they competed at the National level against teams from all over the United States in Orlando, FL in February, 2023, 2024, and 2025. The LPHS Dance Team is currently ranked 3rd in the Nation for Intermediate Jazz, and 10th for Intermediate Hip Hop.

In addition to the National Dance Team Championships, the team had a very successful competition season. At our first 2025 competition the team placed first and qualified for IDTA State in Jazz, Hip Hop, and Pom. We are very excited about the momentum of the team, and look forward to the opportunity to represent Chicago, CPS, and Lincoln Park High School at IDTA State and Nationals! 

The LPHS Varsity Poms team encompasses everything it means to be a LION. While we have built a solid Dance program, we still need help. Nationals seem somewhat out of reach due to costs and fees. We are trying to raise funds to help with the expenses associated with Nationals, travel, training, competitions, uniforms, camps and clinics, costumes and uniforms, and to help provide financial assistance for student athletes in need. In donating you will be supporting a great cause - the continued development of our student athletes as dancers, and our program as a whole.
