Our Writing Center offers advice, suggestions, help, and friendly listeners to students seeking to strengthen their writing skills. The Writing Center is operated by students for students. Appointments and walk-ins are welcome before and after school and during lunch periods.


Khan Academy is a resource that allows tailor-made practice in a variety of subjects and with a variety of skills. Students should all register for an account and link it to their College Board accounts; linking the two will allow Khan Academy to create custom practice questions and activities for the PSAT and SAT.


Purdue University's Online Writing Lab offers tips, samples, and guidelines for a variety of writing types and skills in both MLA and APA styles.


Calvin College's KnightCite is a citation creating program; students input the information form their source, and this program creates the citations that students may utilize in their writing.

The website for the Modern Language Association includes guidelines, FAQs, sample citations, and information on how to prevent plagiarism and academic dishonesty. MLA is typically utilized to write about literature or fine arts.

The American Psychological Association website includes guidelines, FAQs, sample citations, and information on how to prevent plagiarism and academic dishonesty. APA is typically used in research.
