Between Friends: At-Home Resources

Between Friends has put together an excellent list of virtual resources for your students, including: ways to get active; virtual activities, including animal cams from zoos in San Diego, Vancouver, and many more; educational/academic activities; build your own instrument instructions; fun and games; and some mindfulness activities! Recommendations are curated by age group so you can find the best fit for your students!

Black Girls Code (BGC) offers some exciting virtual summer camps around topics like Video Game Development, Robotics, and more! Some programs last a week and others are short presentations - all are super engaging and educational! There are limited seats, so sign up early - for any programs that cost, there are a limited number of need-based scholarships that you can apply for! The present topics such as Aquaponics, Pollinators, and even the Life Cycle of a Salad! Resources are provided for educators and parents about each topic, including lesson plans, introductory activities, slide decks and the video recordings!
