So, you want to be a Wildcat?

Lake View is a neighborhood school that draws students from throughout the city. Admission is through GoCPS. Students who apply for LVHS are prioritized in the following order:

  1. (Highest priority) Students who live within our neighborhood boundary.

  2. Students who attend one of the seventeen GROW Elementary schools (Audubon, Bell, Blaine, Brenemann, Budlong, Burley, Chappell, Coonley, Greeley, Hamilton, Hawthorne, Inter-American, Jahn, Jamieson, Nettelhorst, Ravenswood, Waters).

  3. Students who have a sibling who is attending Lake View.

  4. Students who score at the 50th percentile or higher on the Selective Enrollment Test.

  5. Other students

Make sure to rank Lake View #1 or #2 in GoCPS to maximize your chances of being accepted: for the last two years, Lake View has not opened a second round of admissions, and has not taken any students from the waiting list.
