Welcome to the home page for 7th and 8th grade science at James Ward Elementary! My goal for this website is to give the school community a glimpse into what we are learning as well as help students stay up to date on important information for our class. All of our science learning will be in line with the expectations of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). The work in our classroom may look a lot different than what you've seen before in science class. Learn more about the expectations of the NGSS here. This year we will continue using a new curriculum called Amplify Science to support student learning.

Google Classroom

This is a primary mean of communication with students and families. This is where you will get the most up to date information for classes including announcements, homework assignments and project due dates. Students will do many of their assignments digitally through google classroom or Clever using the Amplify curriculum. Be sure to sign up for parent weekly summaries to see our class assignments and important announcements.
