Country of Study: Mexico 🇲🇽

This quarter, students will read the story The Very Hungry Caterpillar | La Oruga Muy Hambrienta. Using the story, they will be able to review color and food vocabulary as well as learn new words related to the days of the week. Students will learn about the lifecycle of the monarch butterfly and work together to create symbolic monarchs for the Journey North Symbolic Migration. 

Quarter 1 Objectives: Novice Low

• Interpretive: I can identify some words or phrases from a read aloud story.

• Interpersonal: I can say what food I like or dislike.

• Presentational: I can describe the colors of a butterfly.
