Artist and Author Herve Tullet believes the art-making process should be a joyful process and uses games to stimulate imagination and create new solutions.
On the first day of class, students used dice to select how many features, such as eyes, feet, hair, and legs, to include in their character drawings. Students found new ways to fit extra legs in their pictures. Some unique solutions included drawing the legs inside the eye or adding them to the hair! During this class, everyone felt the endless possibilities for solving new problems.
Students look to the art of James Rizzi for inspiration when creating whimsical cityscapes.
