The Parent TechTalk series is designed to engage families as partners in guiding students toward digital citizenship. Digital Citizens are proactive, reflective, and responsible. They take steps to make their own digital lives positive, healthy, and safe, and they stand up for what’s right in the online spaces they are part of. Becoming a digital citizen is a lifelong journey, and as adults, we are the guides for the children in our lives.
Parent TechTalk will tap into the expertise of Burley Staff, outside experts, and fellow parents to offer face-to-face and virtual events, as well as online resources. Our technology specialist, Carolyn Skibba (caskibba @ cps.edu) , and counselor, Blair Sundhausen (basundhausen @ cps.edu), are coordinating this effort.
