This is a short tutorial about how to upload pictures of artwork onto Padlet.
Have you ever tried to trace something? This week I'm giving some tips about tracing objects in your house and turning them into drawings (even Legos!). Slideshow with videos is here or click the photo on the left.
Tape can be used for tape resist, which means you use tape to mask off parts of your paper. You can make designs, words, or anything you can think of! The slideshow shows three materials to use with tape. Click the photo to the left to access the slideshow.
Materials you will need:
Tape (masking tape or scotch tape)
Crayons, markers or paint
Paper (thicker paper will be easier)
Paint supplies: Brush, water, thicker paper
Water-based markers can be used for more than just drawing! Did you know you can add water to them in different ways? Click the photo or here to learn three different ways to use markers (there are also videos showing each technique).
Materials you will need (there are three demos):
Water-based markers
Copy paper or thicker paper if you have some
Paint brush
Sponge, spray bottle or container for water
Aluminum foil (for printmaking)
Coffee filters or paper towels (for "tie-dye" techniques)
This week I am showing you how to turn old packaging boxes inside out (they are great for sculptures!) You will need:
Old boxes (tissue boxes, cereal or other food boxes)
Scissors
Tape or glue
This week I am showing you the basics of observational drawing. Observational drawing is drawing what you see. You will need:
Paper
Pencil, markers, colored pencils or something to draw with
A toy or another object (something special to you is even better)
Watch the video for more tips and to see what I chose!
Hello Bobcat Artists! This week I will be showing you the basics of how to make an origami book. This PDF is of the written instructions for the same type of book (the woman who made the instructions also has some other great folded book tutorials!). This website has a great GIF of how to fold your book as well.
What will your book be about?
