This story is for anyone who has traveled to a faraway place, and has come back home a changed person. This is a narrative of my pilgrimage of knowledge, which was originally born from a childhood fascination with books and the night sky. In this essay, you will find the lore of astronomy, myth, and sacred spaces such as Stonehenge and the common neighborhood library. This essay is dedicated to all the wayfarers who seek experiences full of personal meaning.

An analysis of the work of graphic storyteller and artist Junji Ito. Themes of trauma and isolation in youth, as well as strained family relationships, are examined psychologically. Literary influences are also discussed.
Three exemplary short stories of weird fiction are presented and analyzed, showing how their turn-of-the-20th-century themes are relevant today. Writers discussed include H.G. Wells, Lord Dunsany, and Robert W. Chambers.
