Dr. Gerrish received his Ph.D. in Public Affairs from Indiana University and focuses his research on public sector performance, management in the public sector, state and local government finance, and meta-analysis. Dr. Gerrish specializes in research methods, public budgeting, and finance.

Richard Braunstein

Professor of Political Science at the University of South Dakota

Dr. Braunstein research interests include Native American criminal justice, community policing, and voting rights. He specializes in nonprofit studies, race and justice, conflict resolution, and the American government. Dr. Braunstein received his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Colorado.

Julia Marin Hellwege

Dr. Hellwege's research focuses on institutional behavior and representation, in particular in relation to gender, race, and ethnicity. She received her Ph.D. and M.A. in Political Science from University of New Mexico and her Bachelor's degree from Colorado Mesa University. 

Shane Nordyke

Dr. Nordyke specializes in public policy, research methods and analytical techniques, national security, terrorism and counter-terrorism, American foreign policy, and local government. She researches homeland security, public safety, transportation safety and security, and research methods pedagogy. Dr. Nordyke received her Ph.D. in Public Policy from Indiana University.

Sebastian Wai specializes in industrial organization and econometrics. His current research investigates innovation, intellectual property, and knowledge flows, focusing on the semiconductor industry. He has also written on topics including the video game industry, economics pedagogy, and professional basketball. He received his Ph.D. in economics from Purdue University in 2017.
