Action research:
Action Research is a sort of continuous study that educators do to study an issue or respond to questions in their classes or practices.There are four processes to doing action research: planning, acting, developing, and reflecting.
The planning step include restricting the emphasis of the research question or subject to something feasible, determining how to perform the study, examining relevant literature, and acquiring the required data.
The action step includes gathering and evaluating data relating to the subject or issue, as well as carrying out the strategies created in the planning stage to perform the study.
The developing stage is when the research methodology leads in the implementation of adjustments or remedies to the issue or topic. This is the point at which all of your hard work will be rewarded. The study will continue to analyze the efficacy and feasibility of the action plan while it is being implemented.
In action research, reflection is often done on a small scale, with findings shared with the study's local school or coworkers. It is critical to evaluate the findings to determine if the procedure was beneficial, and to continue making adjustments and evaluating the progress. The application's outcomes will indicate if more study is required to solve the issue or topic.
Traditional Research:
Traditional research is often undertaken using the scientific method by researchers, academics, or intellectuals. Theory and testing are used in research to add to bodies of knowledge on many issues.
Traditional research is often conducted in five steps: posing a question, researching, offering a hypothesis, evaluating data, and reviewing findings to create a conclusion.
Traditional research questions are often ones that build on current ideas or research and explore something to analyze the outcomes of the inquiry in order to give a solution.
Once a topic is suggested, research is conducted to create data. Following that, a hypothesis is developed to anticipate the result of the investigation.
The data from the study is then analyzed to reach a conclusion derived from the findings. Due to the obvious higher magnitude of the study, quantitative data is often utilized.

The researchers categorize characteristics using numerical data while examining the findings. Statistics are often portrayed in different tables, charts, and graphs, which aids in the comprehension of the data.
Qualitative
Qualitative research continues to focus on significance, comprehension, and distinctions in type instead of facts, knowledge, and variations in degree . Describing, explaining, and analysing actual experiences is the purpose of research. As a part of the process of reflection undertaken by the professional, practitioner research remains aimed to create change, or impact policy in the area of practice . Case study viewpoints feature a restricted set of participants, frequently focused on one person . Qualitative researchers apply seven core methodological methods; observations, focus groups, material evaluation, archive and historical records assessment, interpretative analysis, and participant observation.
In the ETEC543, I learnt a lot about different types of researches which are used in learning especially the action research which has four critical steps that makes it applicable in the classroom set up.
In the ETEC 643, I have conducted research for my project whereby I was applying the skills which I had acquired. I started by choosing my topic which I wanted to focus on, then moved, to conduct literature review which gave me basic information about the topic as done by previous researchers.I progressed to analyze the findings from the literature review using different data analysis methods then concluded my study with a summary of main points.
