Technology Integration in Instructional Design
Technology integration is not simply the use of digital tools. It involves selecting tools that support a specific learning goal. During the IDT program, I used different technologies to design and organize learning modules, create multimedia content, build online resources, collect learner feedback, and collaborate on group projects.
I strengthened my understanding of clarity, accessibility, and structured design through real-world practice.
This project helped me understand that technology should support real user needs.
Adobe Express was used to design and organize the visual content. Canva was used to generate the AI voiceover, while Voice Memos was used to record original narration. CapCut was used to create the virtual female presenter and combine the visuals, recorded audio, AI voiceover, timing, and transitions into the final video.
Digital Design Tools and Applications
This artifact is a digital poster created as part of an assignment in ETEC 5460. The goal was to present online safety concepts in a clear and visually engaging way for learners.
Adobe Express was used to design the poster, organize the visual elements, and create the student illustration with its generative AI feature. Google Forms was used to create a bilingual survey and collect learner responses. The survey results were then summarized and included in the poster.
This project helped me practice visual hierarchy, concise writing, basic data presentation, and the responsible use of AI-generated content. It demonstrates how technology can make information more accessible, structured, and easier to understand.

Technology Growth Plan
My growth in instructional design technology has focused on multimedia design, video production, website development, and the responsible use of AI. Through my coursework, I have used Adobe Express, CapCut, Canva, Google Sites, and Google Forms to create, organize, and present learning materials. I have also used Canvas as a learner to access course content, assignments, discussions, and feedback.
Moving forward, I plan to build on these experiences by creating clear and accessible videos, bilingual resources, workplace training materials, and interactive learning activities. I also plan to explore how AI can support workplace scenarios, translation, feedback, and content development while carefully reviewing accuracy, privacy, and bias.
My goal is to select technology based on learner needs, learning goals, and real workplace situations. I will apply these skills in workplace training and community learning and use learner feedback and assessment results to revise and improve my instructional materials.
Reflection
During the IDT program, I have developed skills in multimedia design, video production, website development, feedback and evaluation tools, and the responsible use of AI. Through my coursework, I have used Adobe Express, Canva, CapCut, Google Sites, and Google Forms to create and organize learning materials, develop bilingual resources, and collect learner feedback. My experience using Canvas as a learner has also given me a basic understanding of how an LMS organizes course content, assignments, discussions, and feedback.
Moving forward, I plan to develop my technology skills in three main areas. First, I want to improve my skills with learning management systems so I can design, manage, and improve employee training within an organization’s existing LMS. This includes organizing content clearly, connecting training to actual job tasks, creating useful assessments, and tracking learner progress. Second, I want to improve my multimedia and video production skills so I can create clear, bilingual, and accessible training videos and job aids. Third, I want to strengthen my skills with AI and data tools. I plan to use AI to create realistic workplace scenarios, support translation, and help prepare feedback. I also plan to use learner data to improve training materials.
When using AI, I will carefully check accuracy, privacy, and bias. My goal is to select technology based on learner needs, learning goals, and real workplace situations. I plan to apply these skills to employee training, especially in banking and other regulated industries.I will use learner feedback and assessment results to revise and improve instruction.
