Gifted Probation
Grades will be checked at the end of every 9 weeks. If students receiving gifted services fail to maintain a minimum of 71% or higher in the assigned gifted class(es), the student will be placed on probation for a period of one semester. You will be contacted by the gifted coordinator if you are placed on probation and will be required to turn in proper paperwork stating that you and your parents/guardians understand that you are at risk of being removed from the gifted program. A plan will also be put in place by you and the gifted coordinator in order to help ensure your success (i.e. tutoring, turning in make-up work, etc.).
If you have brought your grades back up to a 71 or above at the end of the next 9 weeks, you will be notified that you are off of probation!
