Scheduling and Attendance
Will the Coweta Empower Virtual Program follow the CCSS yearly schedule?
Yes, CEVP is a school within the Coweta County School System and will follow all district scheduling.
Will my student log on daily for live classes?
Yes, your child deserves the best education possible. Meeting with teachers and classmates in live classes daily will support that.
How long will the live classes be?
Each grade level will have unique requirements based on the age of the students. Each teacher will share a schedule with students and parents at the beginning of the year.
Is attendance taken daily?
Yes, students are expected to participate daily in live sessions and if not will be marked absent. All district attendance policies will be followed.
Communication
How will my child communicate with his/her teacher?
Each student will communicate in live classes though chat boxes and by using their microphone to speak. They can also reach their teacher through email and by phone during each teacher's office hours.
How will I communicate with my student's teachers?
Each teacher can be reached by phone or email during their specific office hours. In addition, school and teacher websites will link all important information. Each teacher will share additional methods of communication with you.

Curriculum and Instruction
What curriculum will be used for instruction?
CEVP will have access to and utilize the same curriculum resources as other schools within the Coweta County School System.
How will my child join live classes with their teacher?
Students will log on daily to their teacher's Google Classroom. There will be a link in the classroom to join a live class.
Are there procedures in place to help my child if he/she is struggling academically?
Yes, research based intervention can be implemented if your student is following all attendance and classroom policies but is still struggling academically.
Grading
How do I check my child's progress?
All grades will be recorded in Infinite Campus that can be accessed through a parent account.
Progress reports and report cards will be utilized to communicate student progress.
What should I do if my child is struggling academically?
Parents should contact their child's teacher to help develop a plan to support their child academically.
