Attendance is very important for the Empower Virtual Program. To be counted as present, your child should log into the Google Class meets throughout the day. Students are expected to log in every morning at 8:00 to begin the day.
Attendance will be taken daily
Students will write their names in the chat box (beginning or end of class).
Students must be on camera (visibly) throughout the entire class period.
There will be times that students may work independently and/or in groups pending on teacher discretion (and/or asynchronous)

Class Dojo (work ethic and attendance)
3 absences = teacher e-mail
5 absences = teacher phone call, admin. notified
10 absences = phone call from Mrs. Minerd
Each virtual lesson will follow the class schedule.
Each session will be recorded.
Please have your child mute themselves to reduce background noise when not speaking.
If a student becomes disruptive or loud, he/she will be muted or removed from the classroom by the teacher.
The teacher may send students into virtual small groups at times.
When we have independent time, students may close their chromebooks and the teacher will instruct them as to when to log back on.
