Lily Green joined Rockingham Augusta Search and Rescue (RASAR) early in 2024 and recently became a new member of SARTI.
Her passion for working in the outdoors, helping others, and developing outdoor skills led her to discovering Search and Rescue.
Lily has worked with animals, primarily horses, in a professional setting since 2014; for over a decade she has owned and operated a full-service farrier and blacksmith business.
She's a certified member of the International Association of Professional Farriers (IAPF), a member of the American Farriers Association (AFA) and is working towards becoming an AFA Certified Farrier (CF) by 2026. She's also a member of the Central Virginia Blacksmith Guild (CVBG) and is pursuing her ABANA certification as an artist-blacksmith.
In her spare time she enjoys nature photography, writing, illustrating, and just started an online shop ©Thoughts and Little Things that has an up-and-coming line of SAR stickers and merch. Other hobbies include welding, horseback riding, hunting, water sports, fly fishing, treasure hunting, and dog training.
