On Friday evening, after dinner, SAR skills, communication and teamwork will be put to the test. Prizes (and bragging rights) wait at the finish line. Winners will be announced during the raffle & awards ceremony held on Saturday night.
As in years past, we will be raffling items off during the main conference portion on Saturday. Each registration automatically receives 5 tickets, but more tickets may be purchased.
You may have heard some recent rumblings about the impact of alternative light sources (ALS) in the search for human remains. Demonstrations and research trails will be held throughout the weekend to give you a chance to get hands on with this new technology.
Yoga for all levels will be offered throughout the conference. Dates, times and locations will be posted on site.
Have old gear that you would like to get rid of? We will have a silent gear option so that you can sell that gear to someone that would love to buy it off of you. All the proceeds from your sale goes straight back to you!
Most evenings we will have a bonfire near the lake (weather permitting). This is a great time to network with people from all around the state!
The dining hall is open every evening to be able to socialize, network and even play games so feel free to bring your favorite board game or beverage to share!
In between all sessions, the conference provides snacks and drinks to help get you through the day in-between meals.
An always popular attraction is the high-line that is rigged in the middle of the grounds near the flag poles. Technical Specialists will be on hand to assist you and /or your k9, (sorry no horses!) in experiencing riding a high-line. While being fun it is a unique experience for SAR Practitioners not already familiar with rope work. This is also a great opportunity to expose your K9 to the feeling of being placed in a harness or in a stokes basket and moved from place to place. Available during breaks, meal times, and after classes.
Easy - 2.0 mile out and back hike on mostly level trail scenic destination at Dam. The Lake Trail continues around the entire Lake.
