Google Meet is a video conference platform that you can use to to host meetings, PLC's, ARC's, and virtual classrooms (if teaching remotely).

Different options to change the layout on your screen.
When you click record, the box above will appear. Click Accept to begin the recording.
To stop the recording, click the 3 dots to open the menu and then click Stop Recording.
The recording will automatically save to your Google Drive in a folder labeled Meet Recordings. It will take a little bit of time to process the video to make it ready to view/share.
I have not been able to get Background Blur to work yet on any device (newer or older). It completely blacks my screen out to where nothing is shown. Others have had it work from what I've seen in Meets I've been a part of.
This video will walk you through on how to schedule a Google Meet.
When you create a Google Classroom now, you can automatically generate a Meet code for your classroom. It is located in the header for your classroom (see picture to the left). When you first create a class, it will say Generate Meet Link. Click it and then click Generate Meet Link in the box that pops up. It will generate a code for your class, and then click Save.
This way it's easier for your students to get on. Just tell them to go into Classroom and then click the Meet link.
Students CAN'T start a meeting on their own. A teacher has to have started the Meet first.
If someone from outside our organization tries to join a Meet, the teacher will receive a request about that person, and can approve or deny their request.
