After working on the poem Five Little Pumpkins all week, the students were given the challenge to make their own gate to balance five candy or eraser pumpkins. They all completed the challenge in less than 30 minutes with a variety of techniques. Well done!

As part of our health unit, Ms. Eby led students in the creation of Calm Down Jars.
Each student picked their pieces and glitter to represent the challenges that sometimes cloud their days.

On the 100th Day of School we ate 100 snacks!
It was also Global Play Day, so we created some structures with our snacks too.

Students enjoyed an in school field trip to Ms. Hanzel's room to see her crabs and fish.
This was a great connection to our new science unit on living things. Ms. Eby and Ms. Hanzel reviewed the four traits that make the crabs and fish living things.
The class enjoyed the new book, Love From the Crayons, on February 13. The book highlights that our love and our hearts look and feel different all the time, and that is okay. Students then shared what color their heart was that day. They loved this simple, yet powerful writing activity.
Valentine's Day Party - We had a blast with chocolate fondue, photo props, t-shirt tie dying and more. Thanks Ms. Alyssa for all the planning!
