Mr. Forman teaches 9th grade Physical Science and Biology along with an Astronomy elective to grade 9-12 students. He engages students by utilizing current research in environmental science and astronomy.

Mr. Golas teaches AP Physics 1 and AP Physics 2 to 11th and 12th grade students and Physical Science to 9th grade students. He helps to organize and run the Physics Olympics field trip which is the largest field trip at Coventry High School.

Ms. O'Loughlin is a new addition to our Coventry High School science department. She is super excited to start her teaching career at her alma mater! She graduated from Coventry High in 2017 and went on to continue her education at the University of Rhode Island where she earned her Masters degree in Education. Ms. O'Loughlin will be teaching Earth & Space Science and Physical Science. Ms. O'Loughlin is also very involved in Coventry Athletics. She is the Head Coach of Boys Cross Country as well as the Boys Assistant Coach for Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field.

Bio Medical Pathway
Mrs. Pankowicz teaches Biology and Biotechnology I and II Honors. She enjoys sharing her passion for the microscopic level with all her students. During lecture and labs, special emphasis is placed on the many professions / careers that require strong foundations in the biological sciences. Mrs. Pankowicz brings real-life Biotech lab manufacturing to her classroom through the Amgen Biotech Experience sequence of Biotech labs and equipment. Mrs. Pankowicz's students compete each year in the RI Biotech Skills Competition, and share their knowledge of Biotech with the Coventry community at various Community Nights and Career Fairs. Mrs. Pankowicz was the 2019 Amgen RI Biotech Teacher of the Year, 2022 CHS Teacher of the Year and a 2022-2023 Amgen Biotech Experience Master Teacher Fellow.

Tiffany Risch teaches Physics, Biology, Physical Science, Forensics, & Oceanography courses at CHS. Ms. Risch has designed exciting curriculum and authentic educational experiences in her classes while being a member of the District and Science Department Curriculum Alignment teams. She is devoted to bridging the gap between difficult science concepts and real world connections both in class and in the lab for her students. Her experiences working with NOAA, MIT, Save the Bay, Dr. Robert Ballard's Exploration Trust, and RIDE aid in this process. Ms. Risch was named the 2012-2013 Coventry High School Teacher of the Year, 2023 Boston Red Sox Most Valuable Educator, and 2023 Boston University Verde Fellow.

Mr. Rockwell teaches 9th grade Biology and Physical Science. He began his teaching career at CHS in 2004 after leaving a successful career in the medical field as a cytotechnologist. Mr. Rockwell is a technological guru who is constantly learning new and upcoming applications in order to expand the use of technology in today’s digital classroom. Mr. Rockwell is a member of several district committees working to improve teaching and learning through technology.

Ms. Steele teaches biology, general science and forensics. She loves science and learning new things and passes this enthusiasm for learning to her students. Technology and science are constantly changing. The one guarantee in life is that we will always need to learn. Ms. Steele hopes to help Coventry High School students continue to improve their science skills such as asking questions as they strive to learn new things.

Mrs. Sullivan teaches 10th and 11th grade chemistry. She engages students with real world applications to chemical concepts and encourages future studies in the science field. To assist students with mastering rigorous chemistry content, Mrs. Sullivan teaches students several study strategies. She is a National Board Certified Teacher and was awarded the 2002 District Distinguished Education award.
