How the CHS Summer Reading Program Works:
All CHS students in grades 9-12 will select and read ONE book during summer. There are TWO TITLE CHOICES this year. See slide presentation below for the full program.
Local libraries are a good source to find the titles. You can also purchase texts online or in local bookstores.
Reading this summer is a good way to spend some time and can improve your English grade in quarter one!
Scoring a 75 or better on the assessment will earn you two points on your quarter one average in English.
There are graphic organizers posted below to support your understanding, but these are not required.
NOTE: Class of 2027 Seniors taking AP Literature and Class of 2028 taking AP Language will read alternate course-specific texts. See attached slides.
