Courage and Grace Learning Center started simply as an idea. Founder Jessica Bartholomew was working in the public school system and began observing the increasing challenges that faced her students, and the teachers as well, and questioned whether the traditional system was the best method to meet the needs of young learners. During this same time she saw the way her nieces, who were being homeschooled, soaked in the joy of learning and the bond they were able to form as family time as they learned together. She began to dream about a way to educate that embraced the natural joy in learning, included real world applications and experiences, and offered families support in their children's academic learning while still allowing quality family time. She shared with her sister a vision to open a learning center that provided a supported approach to academic foundation and allowed the freedom to think outside the box. As 2023 began, they started the process to make this dream a reality. In the fall of 2024, Courage & Grace Learning Center opened to serve learners aged 5-14 in the New Braunfels, TX community.
