Pegah Motaleb (she/her) is an Assistant Professor of English and the PATH coordinator at San Diego Mesa College. Born in Tehran, Iran, she immigrated with her family to the United States at age eight. Her family settled in the multi-cultural and multi-ethnic community of Linda Vista in San Diego. Pegah attended Kearny High School where she dreamed of becoming an English professor at San Diego Mesa College just a few blocks away. She earned her Bachelor’s of English from Cal State Northridge, Master’s degree in Literature and Writing from Cal State San Marcos, and a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from UCSD.
