Society before the Invention of the Microwave
Before the invention of the microwave people didn't have a way to quickly cook or heat up food. If you wanted to heat up your food, you had to use the oven, and we all know how long that could take.
If Percy Spencer never would have had that candy bar in his pocket while working with radar and magnetrons, he would have never discovered that microwaves could cook or heat up food so quickly. So if he didn't have that candy bar, just think about how society would be today, the microwave could never had been even invented. Luckily, Spencer had the candy bar in his pocket, so society was saved!
Society Nowadays
Now in modern times, people wake up in the morning, and can just put some bacon or eggs in the microwave, and call it a breakfast. People nowadays rely on prepared food, so the microwave shortens the cooking time a lot, which allows for extra time. Since meals that usually would take hours to make with the oven only take minutes with the microwave. The microwave might be used everyday by some people, because many people eat microwavable meals, which are a real life saver when it comes down to it. Not to mention that you can put food in the microwave to sit, instead of putting it in the refrigerator to get cold. The microwave has truly positively impacted society in a lot of meaningful ways, and society is lucky to have the microwave!
Ways the Microwave has Positively Impacted Society
Made food be able to be cooked faster
Allowed it so that food could be reheated(without the oven)
Made it easier not to over cook, under cook, or burn food
When microwaving, the kitchen doesn't get hot(unlike the oven)
The microwave is cost-efficient compared to when they first came out
The microwave is energy-efficient
Enhanced the kitchen as a whole
