After the success of our previous versions, we are excited to announce the continuation of this pioneering meeting and workshop in the field of applied microbiology and biotechnology.

Our story began with the I Workshop on the Application of Molecular Techniques in Environmental Samples and Bioreactors in 2013. Since then, we have evolved with the second edition in 2016. Subsequently, in 2022, we successfully developed the First Congress on Microbiome Biotechnology in Colombia, which was accompanied by two workshops related to bioinformatics techniques and the assembly of portable electronic devices for microbiome studies.

For this year 2024, we have gathered a group of national and international experts for the second edition of the Colombian Congress on Microbiome Biotechnology which will be held in conjunction with the 3rd Workshop on Molecular Techniques for Environmental Analysis and Bioprocesses.

This congress-workshop aims to primarily provide training in Advanced Methodologies, focusing on microbiology, molecular biology, and culturomics, with the aim of promoting applied research and technological development in Colombia. Additionally, we seek to strengthen the training of researchers in molecular techniques and promote the transfer of knowledge and technological advances applied to environmental issues, both nationally and internationally.

Over the years, we have consolidated cooperation with Latin American countries such as Brazil and Argentina, as well as with European institutions such as the Laboratoire de Biotechnologie de l'Environnement in Narbonne, France, and more recently with Australian institutions such as the "Australian National Phenome Center". These efforts have allowed us to stay updated with cutting-edge trends and techniques in the study and analysis of problems related to the environment and human health.

We invite you to be part of this important event that offers a unique platform for learning, collaboration and growth in the field of microbiotechnology. We hope to count with your presence!
