Hi! My name is Mrs. Lori LeFevre. I was born with a passion for education and teaching young children. I remember playing school all the time and taking care of all the younger cousins at family gatherings. I always wanted to help my teachers when I was in school. I never even looked into another career - I just wanted to be a teacher. Teaching in a Catholic school is extra special because I can also share my faith with the children. I still love each and every day that I am teaching! And I am extra excited to be in Pre-K 3 this year!
I graduated from Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a focus on Special Education. I have a current Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate and my Religion Certification from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. In total, I have 24 years of teaching experience - this is year 25! I have been teaching here at Corpus Christi for 16 years. I have been in Pre-K full day for 11 years and prior to that was teaching in the first grade and Kindergarten (so I know where the Pre-K children are headed). I have also taught Pre-K at St. David School and 3 year olds at Abington Presbyterian Nursery School and 5th grade at St. Catherine of Siena.
In addition to my passion for education, I also have a passion for my family. My husband and I have 3 boys (men). Our oldest (PSU grad) is working for Aarete Consulting, He is married and lives near Nashville and they have 2 boys (Parker is 3 and Connor is 1) So, I am "Grammy" - which is the best thing ever (except for the distance)! Our middle son (also a PSU grad) is currently in client services at Ascensus in Dresher - and bought a house! Our youngest graduated from Bloomsburg University (like his mom!) and is doing consulting and bank audits with Veritas - and living with his brother in his new home. ** They are still close enough to stop home for dinner several days per week! We really enjoy time together as a family - watching sports, cooking and eating!
