Expectations and Grading

1. Be on time and be prepared for class.

• Submit all assignments on time.

• Make-up work is accepted only when students have an excused absence. Each student will have 1 day per day missed to make up any assignment.​

2. Pay attention during class.

• When the teacher is giving instructions/explaining something on the board, listen carefully.

• If a classmate has a question or comment, listen carefully as well.

• If you have a question/comment, raise your hand quietly and wait for the teacher to call on you.

• If the teacher raises her hand in the air, it is an indication to settle down and listen for instruction.

3. Clean up after yourself.

• Do not leave any garbage behind.

• You will be dismissed from class once your area is tidied up.

4. Be respectful to others.

• Be respectful to other students’ property and school property.

• Be respectful to all teachers/staff.

• Be respectful to others’ personal spaces.

5. Persevere.

• Just because a problem is hard does not mean that you can’t do it!

• The best things in life are often times found on the other side of struggle!

A. Tests and Quizzes = 60%

• • Tests: There will be a test on completion the of every Unit. You will be given prior notice to a test and if you are absent for a test, you will be required to take a make-up exam on the day you return to school. (Exceptions will be given for extended absences).

  • Quizzes: Quizzes will be given on every Friday of the week.

B. Project = 20%

• • Project will be assigned every Trimester based on topics covered during that time.

C. Classwork = 20%

• Class participation will count.

• Notebooks will be checked and graded. You are responsible for having all notes.
