Hello and welcome to 2B! My name is Michele Zurek and I am very happy to once again be teaching second grade at Corpus Christi. Just a little about myself... I graduated from West Chester University with a BSed in Elementary Education. After graduating I began teaching PreK 4 in a preschool. I taught there for 5 years and I loved teaching the "little" ones. I then moved on to teaching Kindergarten at St. Basil the Great Catholic School in Kimberton. During my 13 years at St. Basil's I taught Kindergarten and 1st grade. This is now my 12th year at Corpus Christi. I am so happy to be a part of the Corpus "family". I have always wanted to be a teacher and I love coming to school everyday! My favorite thing about teaching is watching the growth of the children throughout the school year. I am excited to move to second grade this year, most especially because I get to experience two important sacraments with my students. My faith is an important part of my life and I am honored that I get to share that with my second graders everyday!
When I am not at school teaching I enjoy going to the beach and reading a good book. I love going to Chincoteague Virginia on vacation and relaxing down at the shore in Wildwood Crest.
I am looking forward to another great year at Corpus Christi Catholic School!!
