Religion: We will begin learning Chapter 2: God is Good.
Math: The test for Unit 1 will be given on Wednesday, 9/23. Please refer to the packet that is comping home on Monday. The packet will be the pages that your child completed for homework last week. On Thursday, 9/24 we will begin Unit 2: Counting Patterns to 100.
Reading: We will read My School Trip and A Kids' Guide to Friends.
Phonics: We will learn about consonants n, d, p, c /k/. We will also foocus on the short a sound.
Comprehension: We will learn about story structure, monitoring and clarifying, making inferences, and author's purpose.
Power Words: We will learn the power words for both stories. These words areaccept, calm, happened, introduce, kinds, last, partner, ridiculous, search, together, trip and wished.
Grammar: We will learn our new grammar skill this week. This skill is nouns for places and things.
