Daily ELA Block
ELA is an 80 minute block.
Each day we will begin the day with grammar work. A sentence will be taken from a picture book then it will be Each day will be a small task such as, labeling with the parts of speech, revising and imitating the sentence. On Friday there will be a quiz to assess the students' learning.
Each week, there will be a new grammar focus. As the year progresses, the same grammar focus will be repeated to achieve mastery.

Rainforest
Sports and Athletes' Impact on Culture
We will read a variety of novels that will focus on the above themes. Anticipated novels are but not limited to: Sarah Plain and Tall, Esperanza Rising, Wonder, and When You Reach Me.
Chrome books will be used to enhance our learning and also take assessments.
Above all else we will have fun while we learn!
