Biography
I am an applied economist studying political economy, development, and public policy. My research examines how political institutions, geography, and public investment shape representation and conflict. I use quantitative methods and detailed geographic data to study questions in the United States and abroad.

The Cost of Political Turnover: Firm Lobbying after Legislator Departures — Huiyi Chen and Zhiyang Zhu. We study how firms rebuild political relationships after legislators leave Congress.
