Research

We are interested in understanding how biofilm formation occurs in a group of bacteria called non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM). We use genetic, biochemical, molecular and metabolite quantification-based approaches to investigate the molecular mechanisms underpinning NTM biofilm formation. Currently we have projects focused on investigating the roles c-di-GMP signaling, quorum sensing and other factors play in modulating NTM biofilm formation.
