Nicki Magill

I am a sixth year math PhD candidate at Cornell University. My research is in symplectic geometry, and my advisor is Professor Tara Holm. Currently, I am thinking about symplectic embeddings of four dimensional ellipsoids into various toric manifolds. To learn more about these problems, my joint work about sympletic embeddings into Hirzebruch surfaces was written about in this Quanta article .

Before coming to Cornell, I participated in the Smith College Math Postbacc Program and attended college at Quest University Canada.
