Economics PhD Candidate, Cornell University
Welcome to my web page! I am a PhD Candidate in the Economics Department at Cornell University and a Research Scholar at the Tata Cornell Institute. I am currently on the job market and am available for interviews at the 2018 APPAM meeting in Washington DC and the 2019 ASSA meeting in Atlanta.
I specialize in using microeconomics and econometrics to address questions in International Development, with a focus on topics related to education, health and nutrition. My research primarily analyzes the process of human capital acquisition at various stages of life (childhood, adolescence and adult life), and how this process is impacted by public policy. In addition to projects using secondary data, my ongoing research consists of work on field-based projects in India and Madagascar.
My PhD committee consists of David Sahn, Prabhu Pingali and George Jakubson. Prior to joining the PhD programme, I worked for three years on impact evaluation activities with the Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) and the Indian School of Business (ISB).
