I am a second-year Master of Public Health (MPH) student at Cornell University, concentrating on Food Systems and Health. I am passionate about community-based approaches that promote sustainable food systems and improve nutrition outcomes.
I discovered my interest in food systems and public health during an internship with the Rural Workers Association in Nicaragua, where I witnessed firsthand how agroecological practices can support community health and expand access to nutritious food. I am excited to apply my skills as a public health practitioner, working directly with communities to strengthen food systems and improve health.
My Journey
I grew up in a small rural town in Ohio, surrounded by cornfields and active in my FFA chapter, which gave me an early connection to agricultural communities.
I attended CWRU in Cleveland, Ohio and double majored in International Studies and Spanish, with minors in Photography and Arabic.
At Cornell, I have built skills in public health nutrition, epidemiology, biostatistics, and mixed-methods research. I am Co-chair of the MPH Student Advisory Committee and a teaching assistant for Epidemiology.
