Want to bring COVID-19 testing to your community or organization?

Here's what you can expect from us:

We provide free, low barrier COVID-19 testing to anyone who comes to our sites. No payment, insurance, ID, or appointment necessary.

• We arrive with everything we need: staff, equipment, a site layout, and a safety plan.

• Our tests are self-administered oral swabs. Nothing goes in your nose!

• We offer both community sites that are open to the public and smaller sites for specific groups of people who may have trouble accessing testing.

• Our sites are designed to make testing easy and accessible to everyone. We plan each site with our host organization's guidance about how to best meet the needs of the community.

• We provide tests, trained staff, equipment, line management, and a safety plan for each site - including decontamination of all areas after testing.

• Testing windows are 3-4 hours long, and require about 1.5 hours of set-up and breakdown.

And here's what we need from our community partners to make testing day a success:

• A primary contact at your organization for site planning and coordination on the testing day

• A large, well-ventilated room with separate entrances and exits, and ADA-accessible passageways, OR:

• A covered/shaded outdoor space that we can secure

• Assurance about the basic safety of the site footprint

• Power outlets

• Access to a bathroom for testing staff

• Street or lot parking for staff and patients

• Guidance about how people best move through the space

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY...

A COMMUNITY MOBILIZATION PLAN!

We trust that our community partners know how to best reach their residents and members, so we ask community testing partners to outline a plan for outreach to let their constituents know that free COVID-19 testing will be available. Once we develop a plan together, CORE New Orleans can provide print and digital outreach materials, graphic design assistance, and outreach staff to help get the word out!
