Get Your Results

You got tested! Now what?

CORE New Orleans partners with Curative Inc. to provide our patients with their results in 3-5 days. You can get your results several ways!

When you visit our testing site, we'll take down your preferred contact information. If you leave a phone number with text message capability, Curative will send you a link to your results as soon as they're released.

If you leave an e-mail address, Curative will send you your results as soon as they're released. Please be sure to check your spam and trash folder, as some inbox filters accidentally flag Curative email alerts.

If you have not received your results after 5 days, please contact Curative Inc. at support@curativeinc.com, or contact CORE Response New Orleans at neworleans@coreresponse.org.

What to do if you test positive --

Quarantine for 14 days

If you were in close contact for more than 15 minutes with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, quarantine for 14 days. Stay home, separate yourself from others, and track your health. The 14 days should begin with the last day you were in contact with the person.

Even if you test negative for COVID-19 or feel healthy, you should still quarantine for 14 days. It is possible that you may become contagious 2 to 14 days after exposure to the virus.

Help contain the virus by participating in contact tracing

After a person tests positive for COVID-19, their results are sent to the Louisiana Department of Health. There, a team of contact tracers is working to quickly identify other people who might have been exposed to prevent further disease spread. Here are the basic steps of contact tracing:

  • You can now contact the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) directly to speak with contact tracers to receive guidance and to identify others who might have been exposed. You can reach LDH contact tracers at 877-766-2130.

  • Contact tracers from the Louisiana Department of Health will call people with positive results from the number 877-766-2130 and ask the that person to list anyone they were close contact with from 48 hours before their symptoms began to when they isolated themselves. A close contact is someone who was within six feet of the sick person for longer than 15 minutes.

  • The sick person will be able to identify most close contacts, as they will likely be family members and friends. In cases where the positive person doesn't know who the close contact is--for example a server at a restaurant--LDH may contact the business where the close contact took place. Watch video explaining contact tracing and New Orleans' reservation requirements for salons and restaurants with table service.

  • Louisiana Department of Health will call and notify identified contacts about possible exposure. If you are identified as a close contact of a COVID-positive person, you must self-quarantine for 14 days and monitor your symptoms.

  • At no time will the contact tracer provide the identity of the sick person. To protect privacy, those who are called by a contact tracer are only informed that they may have been exposed to the virus on a certain date; they are not told the identity of the person who may have exposed them.
