I grew up in Owatonna, MN which is a town in southern, Minnesota. I am blessed to have grown up in a tight knit family. My older brother and I are two years apart, so we spent a lot of time together growing up. He currently lives in Rochester, MN and my parents are still in Owatonna; I love going back home to visit and spend time with them!

I love to be active and spend time outdoors! My entire life I have played sports year-round, but after finishing my senior season last spring, I have enjoyed finding new goals to achieve and new ways to exercise.

This past summer I rollerbladed a marathon and ran a half marathon! I also love going out west and hiking the mountains.

I have always loved helping others and I've known that I wanted a job where I could do just that. It wasn't until this summer, however, that I found my passion for nursing through my job at the hospital. While I still love all things nutrition and dietetics, I have realized that nursing is the path I need to take and I know that through my coursework and experiences with nutrition, I will be a better nurse.
